Oh the color change from Colorado to Utah. Utah is a different kind of beautiful. Both Stephanie and I were awestruck by some of the mountains and valleys we passed through.
We originally wanted to stop in Moab on our way to Salt Lake City. But looking at the drive time, it just wasn’t feasible to see Salt Lake and stop at Moab in one day. Moab I think will be one of our adventures in our next stop. Maybe a little foreshadowing to our hopes for our next assignment.
I’m thinking this is going to be our return vehicle. Looks like these guys have they priorities straight. Reminiscent of times gone by, except for the modern bike on top.
A detail of the terrain. Years of weather can do some amazing things to a landscape. I love the stark contrast to the clear blue sky.
Salt Lake City was impeccably clean and welcoming. We are hoping to do our next rotation here. This is the capitol mormon temple. It seems Joseph Smith wanted to mimic the grandiose that was Medieval Europe and its churches. I think they did a pretty good job.
