Not as widely publicized as Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons were a must for this park loving couple. Many photographers have proceeded us in capturing its raw beauty, and we hoped to have our chance. To our unfortunate luck, the peaks of the Tetons were out of reach. The overcast prevented us from seeing all the Tetons had to offer. Although the peaks were unreachable, the buffalo down below made for a wild experience.
What made for such an interesting drive through the Tetons was the fact that we had our dogs in the back seat. Many of the buffalo were grazing car lengths away, and our pug decided that it wanted to engage in attack mode. The bison’s peaceful grazing was interrupted by the 15 lb. monster in the back seat. What was going to be amazing close ups, turned into a quick drive by photoshoot and two fearful passengers.
Speak to any professional or aspiring landscape photographer and they will be aware of Grand Teton’s Mormon Row. Its an American photographers “mecca.” The mountains themselves are exquisite, but with the rustic, historic barn in the fore ground, it makes for sweet eye candy.
